KEYSTONE Web Application: Advancing Digital Integration in European Transport

Discover what comes next after the specification of the API Standard.

The KEYSTONE Web Application enables interoperable connections through European standards and the API Reference Model, allowing all users, from port authorities to logistics operators, to integrate systems quickly and communicate without barriers. The KEYSTONE Web App delivers real-time visibility of deliveries and compliance documents.

Two ongoing pilots are testing the app under real-world conditions: a road transport scenario with Gruber Logistics and an intermodal transport scenario with CIM Interporto di Novara. To ensure safe testing, a MoveHub emulator was developed to replicate realistic data-sharing scenarios.

Built on a flexible, modular architecture and powered by the KEYSTONE API Standard, the app offers a universal digital solution, simplifying cross-border logistics.

A 360° Evaluation: How KEYSTONE Measures Technical, Societal, and Economic Benefits

Discover how KEYSTONE is evaluating usability, compliance, and real-world impact of the KEYSTONE Web Application.

With piloting activities already underway, the scope of the evaluation is clear: to verify the usability of the KEYSTONE Web Application, its compliance with regulatory frameworks, and the accuracy of the data.

In the following months, KEYSTONE partners will assess the web application’s impact across technical, environmental, societal, and economic dimensions, ensuring tangible value for users and society. By combining data-driven KPIs, user feedback, cost-benefit studies, and multi-criteria analysis, KEYSTONE ensures that its results are not only effective on paper but also practical, robust, and ready for wider adoption.

On 17 September 2025, KEYSTONE was presented at the 10th edition of the STA Annual Conference & Innovation Awards, within the European Transport Conference.

The event was organised by the Smart Transportation Alliance (STA), which leads the project’s Communication, Dissemination and Exploitation activities. Ms Frida Kühl, STA Programmes Coordinator, presented the results of KEYSTONE’s stakeholder consultation, alongside updates from the piloting activities and the web application interfaces. The one-day event, attended by over 40 experts spanning from the European Commission to port authorities, sparked active discussions on the ongoing challenges in cross-border logistics compliance.
