KEYSTONE project at the STA Annual Conference & Innovation Awards

Several KEYSTONE consortium partners took part in the 8th edition of the Smart Transportation Alliance (STA) Annual Conference & Innovation Awards. The conference was organised under the motto “Introducing Taxonomy in Transportation Infrastructures”, and focused on the new EU taxonomy system & how the new classification system can steer transport industries towards a more sustainable future. Apart from the organiser Smart Transportation Alliance, more KEYSTONE partners attended and participated in the conference, including Etelätär Innovation, the Spanish Road Association (AEC), the Technical University of Madrid and Cefriel.

Friederike Kühl, Programmes Coordinator at STA, introduced KEYSTONE, one of the Research & Developmnet EU-funded projects to more than 50 people who participated on this one-day event, amongst them decision-makers, practitioners, researchers & transportation experts, academics & industry representatives. They were informed about the current project activities & the ongoing stakeholders survey for mapping the needs of operators & authorities.

The audience was very interested in learning more about this revolutionary project that focuses on digitalizing data management within goods & and passengers in the critical area of border crossing & were all invited to complete the KEYSTONE survey and share their feedback with us in order to help us facilitate the cooperation of the logistics sector and the enforcement authorities at the critical points of border-crossings.

The one-day event was a great opportunity to meet with consortium partners & use this opportunity effectively to exchange ideas about the project & engage in active discussions for future activities.

STA is excited to be part of KEYSTONE consisted of 15 partners, 6 countries & many visioners paving the way for the transformation of transport ecosystem.
